As we come to the close of our first couple of weeks at Simply Scrappin' we are excited about all the new inventory that is starting to arrive and what is on its way. If you haven't already, please check out our website, www.scrapbook-expressions.com, for an update on all the new product you can expect to find when you come to shop. We also have a calendar of events to keep you posted on what crops, classes, and special events we have going on at the store. Our April "Welcome Crop" is full, but we are taking sign-ups now for all of May's classes and events, including National Scrapbook Day, May
6th.
We have enjoyed meeting all of you who have dropped by to shop or simply say, "Hi!" Everyone has been so friendly and supportive, and we truly appreciate that. We have talked with Joelle several times and she is doing well with her family in Nevada and extends her warm wishes to all of you who knew her.
We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and spring break (if that applies to you), and we continue to look forward to serving your scrapbook and paper craft needs in the weeks and months to come. We welcome all comments and suggestions from product to carry to class ideas as we work toward creating the best scrapbook store on the Central Coast!
National Scrapbook Day Special Event
Please join us for this all-day event (10-6) on Saturday, May 6th. The crop fee is $25.00 and includes lunch, snacks, prizes, and gifts. We will be demonstrating new product and techniques and you will make your own sample to take home with you. Seating for the crop is limited so please RSVP ASAP by email or phone to reserve your space now. Pre-payment is required and reservations can be made by check or credit card. Crop participants receive 10% off all store purchases that day. This offer not valid with any other store coupons or discounts. If you are unable to attend the crop, please plan to drop by sometime during the day to check out the new product and create your own "make and take" as our thank you for stopping in.
Classes
In May we will be offering both day and evening classes to meet the requests of our customers. Classes need to have a minimum of four people and no more than eight. Spaces are filled on a first-reserve basis. Pre-payment is required and must be received by the Friday before the class. Due to the cost of materials and preparation for the class this fee is nonrefundable, however, in the event that you are unable to attend the class, you may pick up your kit after the class at your convenience. If we have to cancel the class due to lack of enrollment or other reasons, you will not be charged. Class fees vary, ranging from $15. to $25., depending on the project. All materials will be provided unless otherwise stated.
Tuesday, May 9th
11 a.m.-1 p.m.--Mother's Day Card and Gift Bag.
Tuesday, May 23rd
6 p.m.-8 p.m.--2 page layout, using new paper, embellishments, and distressing ink.
More details, including fees, regarding both of these classes will soon follow, but we wanted to give you a "heads up" so you could mark your calendars now if interested.
May's Crop
Our monthly crop will be held on Friday, May 19th, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Crop fees are $10., include snacks, the use of our tools and Sizzix die-cuts, along with scrapbooking tips and ideas. Come share in the fun of scrapbooking with others. Seating is filled on a first-response basis. Prepayment is required to reserve your space, but is fully refundable if you give a 48 hr. cancellation notice. In the event we should have to cancel the crop for any reason you will not be charged.
New Product in this Week
We have restocked our Bazzill cardstock and now have chipboard in all sizes and shapes along with chip toppers for pets, birthday, memories, boy and girl. Lots of brads in various shapes and colors, ribbon brads, and Really Big paper clips! Our Flair paper has arrived! Check out the new True Love collection, and, back by popular demand, Baby of Mine, Top Dog/Cool Cat, and Paradise collections, all with matching cardstock stickers as well as coordinated alphabet stickers. Scenic Route and Daisy D's will be in this week with Tapestry, Chatterbox, Fancy Pants, Basic Grey, Karen Foster, and Doodle Bug soon to follow.
