In our last newsletter we mentioned that we were making a few changes to mark the New Year, however, at that time we didn't have any idea of the big change that would come just a few days after sending that newsletter out. As most of you know by now we were notified last month that the name of our store, Simply Scrappin', is trademarked by another company for a product they sell, and we were asked to change it. Even though we weren't thrilled with the news initially, we got used to the idea pretty quickly and actually had some fun coming up with a new name. So now we are Scrapbook Expressions, and to go along with our new name we have a new slogan as well-Make an impression through creative expression!
Our store can help you make your own impression with the variety of inventory we carry. In the past couple of weeks we have added several new albums, expanded our travel and wedding sections, and added themes to include karate, prom, Harley Davidson, and cooking, complete with paper and embellishments. We have also restocked our tools, including the Revolution from Quickutz, and added the larger Xyron sticker makers. Earlier last month we brought in Heidi Grace and added to our Fancy Pants, Basic Grey, and Bo Bunny collections. We will soon be bringing in a new line from My Mind's Eye (makers of the ever popular Wild Asparagus) and the Wild Side Zoo collection from Bo Bunny.
Over the next few weeks we will be getting ready for the change in season in more ways than one. New product for spring will soon be arriving and filling our racks. And along with the blossoms of spring outside, a new look will be sprouting inside our little store. We will be doing some serious spring cleaning and preparing for our Anniversary Special Event, which will be held the beginning of April. We will have refreshments, surprise gifts, and a major sale event to mark the special day. Then in May we will host a two-day National Scrapbook Day Event. This will be an extended 2 day crop, May 4th and 5th.
Our Heart Throb CD tin albums were a big hit in January and this month we are making paper bag albums with a winter theme. These darling albums are made using the Bo Bunny Winter Gems collection. These albums are great for showing off your own special memories, or make an excellent gift. In March we will be making Easter boardbooks, also from Bo Bunny. We have had a positive response to our weekly specials we began last month and urge everyone to check the calendar on the front page of our website or pick up a calendar the next time you visit our store to view the specials for the month so you can plan to take advantage of these savings. Important Reminders
Punch cards must be filled and redeemed by March 31st. Filled punch cards will not be accepted after April 1st.
We have extended our store hours to 9:00 p.m. on Friday evenings when we have a crop.

Beginning Scrapbook

Our classes are from 10 a.m. to noon, and the fee is $10., which includes all the materials needed to complete a two page lay-out. All you need to bring are your photos. These classes are designed for first time scrapbookers and are very basic. If you have been overwhelmed by all the embellishments you see in a scrapbook store, this class is for you. We will show you simple and quick techniques to get your photos into albums. Receive a 10% discount on all purchases made when you attend. No reservation needed.
Alternative Album Classes
Tuesday, February 27th-"I Love Winter" paper sack album; Fee, $20.
Tuesday, March 27th-Easter boardbook, Fee, $20.
The fee includes all materials & instruction needed to complete each project. Just bring your own adhesive and trimmer, if you have one. Pre-payment is required to reserve your kit.
Special Events
One Year Anniversary Special All-day Event, Tuesday, April 3rd, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our crops are from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. The $10 fee includes refreshment, the use of our tools and Sizzix die-cuts, along with scrapbook tips and ideas. Come share in the fun of scrapbooking with others. Beginners welcome! Seating is filled on a first-response basis. Prepayment is required to reserve your space, which is fully refundable with a 48 hour cancellation notice.
