With the unseasonably warm weather and the early time change to Daylight Savings, we have a great kick-start to a beautiful spring here on the Central Coast! The hillsides are vibrantly green from the winter rain, the ocean sparkling blue, and the sky has a clarity we only experience this time of year.
With the longer days and gorgeous weather, many of you are enjoying the outdoors and are not in the mood to scrapbook. However, even if you aren't currently working on any of your albums or paper crafts, we encourage you to stop by our store and take a peek at all the new product that is arriving from our shopping spree at CHA. We had so much fun at the show, placing several orders while there, and we haven't stopped! We are bringing in several new vendors to our store, including Technique Tuesday, Little Yellow Bicycle, Creative Imaginations, Kaiser Kraft, Amanda Blu, Creative Options, and Reminesce to name a few. We're bringing in new product from companies we haven't ordered from in awhile like Colorbok, Scrapworks, Hero Arts, Pinecone Press, Heidi Swapp, Meri Meri, American Crafts, Flair, SEI, and Autumn Leaves. And, of course, we can't wait for you to see all the great new
designs from some of our favorites—Daisy D's, K & Co., My Mind's Eye, Fancy Pants, Basic Grey, Bo Bunny, and Crate Paper. So much product is now arriving that we are literally having to rearrange our store 3 to 4 times a week to make room for it all! If you can't make it by the store, you can check our website each week to see what new product has arrived.
This weekend we are having our 2-day Spring Fling crop event, so we will have extended store hours. Saturday, March 15th, we will be open until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 16th, we will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The next 2-day crop will be our National Scrapbook Day event, which will be held the first weekend in May. We will begin Saturday, May 3rd, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and continue all day Sunday, May 4th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost of this event is $60., and includes refreshment throughout the weekend, breakfast & lunch on Sunday, goodie bags, prizes, and use of our tools and die-cuts. If you are interested, reserve your spot ASAP as these events are very popular and our space is limited. You may reserve your seat by credit card over the phone, if you can't make it by the store to sign up in person.
Also coming up, we have our 2-year anniversary event on Thursday, April 3rd. Plan to join us on this special day. Easter weekend we will close early on Friday, March 21st at 2:00 p.m. We will be open regular hours on Saturday, March 22nd, 10am to 5pm, and then will be closed on Easter Sunday, March 23rd.
We held our first technique class earlier this month and showed customers how to use chipboard to enhance their projects. Our next class will be held the first week in April at two different times: Wednesday, April 2nd, and Saturday, April 5th. Both classes are from 10 a.m. to noon. These technique classes are designed to expand your use of chipboard, ribbon, ink, brads, eyelets, die-cuts, acrylic stamps, and a variety of tools for your scrapbook pages, cards or other paper craft projects. The fee is $20.and includes all materials, unless otherwise noted. Pre-registration is required. Check the events page on our website or call the store for more details about the upcoming class.

Our beginning classes are from 10 a.m. to noon, and the fee is $20., which includes all the materials needed to complete a two page lay-out. All you need to bring are your photos. These classes are designed for first time scrapbookers and are very basic. If you have been overwhelmed by all the embellishments you see in a scrapbook store, this class is for you. We will show you simple and quick techniques to get your photos into albums.
Technique
These classes will help you to expand your use of tools and embellishments for your page lay-outs, cards, and alternative paper craft projects. Don't know what to do with chipboard? Want to expand your use of eyelets, ribbons, brads, dies, inks, etc.? Have you tried acrylic stamps? Want to make your own die-cuts? These classes are for you. Each month we will feature a different technique that will help you expand your own creativity. All materials are provided, unless otherwise noted. Fee is $20.
