Our bizarre weather continues here on the Central Coast and with all the hot weather we have been experiencing, it is difficult to believe that Thanksgiving is next week! Who wants to turn on the oven in this heat?!?! Hopefully things will cool down over the next few days to help get us more in the mood for not only roasting the turkey, but hauling out our Christmas decorations, since that special day arrives exactly 4 weeks after Thanksgiving this year!
In light of the current bleak financial climate, we know many of you are looking for ways to save money on gifts this year, and we are encouraging our customers to do this by making them. We have brought in several simple altered albums, books, crafts, and paints at affordable prices to help you create unique and memorable gifts for those special people in your lives. If you haven't attempted anything like this before, we will be offering free demos to show you how to make these great altered art projects. Our first demo will be held at our Holiday Open House (see details below) at 3:00 and again at 6:00.
We will also be having a Holiday Sale, featuring specially selected product, which will begin at our Open House and continue through the holiday season, while supplies last.
Speaking of holidays, we have some days we will be closed to celebrate with our families that we want to make you aware of so that you can plan accordingly. Thanksgiving week we will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 26th through Friday, Nov. 28th. For Christmas we will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24th through Friday, Dec. 26th. And finally for New Year's, we will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 31st through Friday, January 2nd.
Due to the slow down in the economy and the closing of businesses across the country, many of you have expressed concern about our little scrapbook store, the one and only here on the Central Coast. We appreciate your concern and want to assure you that our doors will stay open to continue to provide you with your scrapbook and paper craft needs. However, with the decrease in sales we do have to cut our spending, which means we won't be able to bring in as much new product as we have in the past, and we will be making some changes to our store hours beginning the first of the year. We ask that you bear with us during this time, and greatly appreciate your continued support. Fortunately, our store is currently well stocked with a variety of product at competitive prices and the best paper selection that you can find in our area!
We may not be able to offer you the big coupon discounts like the chain craft stores, but we can offer you something they don't. And that is personal customer service along with genuine appreciation for your business. To show this appreciation we are hosting our second annual Holiday Open House. This special event will be held on Friday, December 5th from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will be gifts and raffle tickets for FREE PRODUCT for everyone who attends, along with holiday make ‘n takes, craft demos, discounts, and refreshments.
